Protein+® Pasta Pop-Ups on Campus
As back-to-school activities have been in full swing around the country, we’re getting into the spirit bringing our Protein+® pasta to college campuses. Protein is the top nutrient consumers are looking to add into their diets*, and on college campuses maybe even more so! Just recently our teams visited University of Miami, University of Missouri and West Point, mixing fun and education into delicious pop-up events.

“Nutrition education is so important for all students on college campuses,” says our own Michele Lefebvre, Nutrition and Wellbeing Manager for Barilla America. “College is a place where a lifetime of nutritional habits are preferences are established, and students of all backgrounds are exposed to new foods and flavors.”

We love fueling the next generation of leaders with plant-based protein, in the pasta they love! The pop-up events we activate with our campus dining partners aim to deliver simple messages about healthy food choices, and expose students to healthy meal options they might not know about. Involving student peers from nutrition programs on campus helps with engagement, as does participation incentives and quiz games. But usually it’s the pasta that brings them in, as a familiar comfort food campus dining guests can’t resist. Plus, who wouldn’t love a pasta-themed cornhole game?
